FALLE NIOKE & GHOST CULTURE AYEKOUMA

Falle Nioke and Ghost Culture reunite for a brand new EP entitled Badiare, set for release on 5th November via PRAH Recordings. From the EP, we've already heard the rap-like 'Leywole', and now 'Ayekouma', perhaps the clubbiest offering from this musical partnership. A loop of percussive synths plays over a beat that's just waiting to burst, and it does after a minute or so when the bass drum comes in strong and welcomed. There's an unmistakable techno feel as the arpeggiated synth intensifies, but also a hint of dancehall when the beat escalates and we hear repeated snare smacks. The song title literally means 'talk', with 'Ayekouma be fore' meaning 'Say whatever' in Malenki, one of the many languages spoken by Falle Nioke. 'I wrote this song to express my feelings about destiny,' he explains. 'That in this life not everyone is going to like you. Some will, some won’t, but we shouldn’t worry about that as we are all here to live our life. We have a destiny that no man can change. We must all follow our different paths as we all have a reason for being'. Falle Nioke goes on his first UK headline tour in November, be sure to catch him where you can! 2nd November - Glasgow, Stereo 3rd November - Manchester, Soup Kitchen 4th November - Bristol, Strange Brew 5th November - Leeds, Headrow House 6th November - London, Studio 9294 7th November - Brighton, Green Door Store 2nd December - Margate, Elsewhere   -Ellie Rose-Davies
